Clause
Clause is group of words containing subject and predicate. Subject is who or what is discussed, while the predicate is used to explain the subject.
The clause is divided into two :
1. Independent Clause
Independent clause can stand alone as one sentence.
2. Dependent Clause
Dependent Clause cannot stand alone as one sentence.
Example :
1. Independent Clause
One could argue the results were predictable
( jurnal : " Tropical trump? Bolsonaro's threath to brazilian democracy." )
Subject : results
Verb : were
